FLORIDA FEDERATION OF FAIRS"HALL OF FAME " AWARD

In honor of the service rendered to the Fair Industry, an annual award is given to an individual for distinguished achievement in or contribution to the Fair Industry under conditions herein described. The presentation of the award will be made at the Annual Convention of the Florida Federation of Fairs and Livestock Shows. The award shall consist of a plaque with an appropriate citation and the recipient's name inscribed thereon.

ELIGIBILITY:
The conditions of eligibility are as follows:
• The candidate may be living or deceased.
A deceased candidate is eligible for five (5) years following his/her death.
• The award shall be limited to a working individual or volunteer of a Florida Federation of Fairs member Fair or a candidate who previously worked for or volunteered for a Fair.
• He/she shall have been identified with the Fair Industry for a minimum of ten years.
• He/she shall have contributed to the Fair Industry, in addition to his/her own Fair, something of value in the field of leadership and education that has proven of value and will continue to prove of value to the Fairs in the future.
• He/she shall have been fairly consistent in attending the meetings of the Florida Federation of Fairs and Livestock Shows.
• He/she shall have developed and built up his/her own Fair and worked diligently.
• He/she shall have contributed to other organizations in the community.
• A Federation of Fairs President shall not be considered for the award until two years after his/her term as President expires.
• Nomination forms may be submitted by any Fair member, however, the nomination form must be signed by a current officer of the Fair that they are being nominated to represent.
• Nominations will be held over for an additional two year period with the understanding from the current officer that signs the nomination that it will be held over automatically as long as the candidate is still qualified and as long as the committee does not identify any potential disqualifications.

NOMINATION:
The procedures to be followed by the Awards Committee, chosen by the President in the selection of a candidate shall be as follows:
• The Executive Secretary/Director will mail each Fair a copy of the rules and nomination form.
• The Nomination form must be returned to the Florida Federation of Fairs office; postmarked by March 1st.The application must be accompanied by a memorandum giving a full and complete statement of the reason for proposing the candidate, including a detailed record of his/her professional and industrial achievements sufficient to indicate the candidate's worthiness of this award.
• On or before March 15, 2024, the Committee shall review all nominations received, and determine the eligibility of the applicants, if there is not a qualified candidate the committee may suspend the award for the current year.

The Committee shall have final word.
The Chairman of the Awards Committee will submit the name of the recipient to the Florida Federation of Fairs Executive Secretary/Director for purchasing a plaque.
All records of the committee will be deposited with the Executive Secretary/Director who will act as custodian of same.
All questions coming before the Awards Committee shall be decided by a majority vote of the committee members.
The Awards Committee shall have the power to decide any questions not specifically covered by these rules.


FLORIDA FEDERATION OF FAIRS HALL OF FAME AWARD FOR DISTINGUISHED SERVICE TO THE FAIR INDUSTRY NOMINATION FORM
This form must be completed in full and contain sufficient memoranda documenting nominee’s contributions and achievements to determine the Nominee’s worthiness to receive the award.
